Re-Opening Survey Letter

11th May Update Letter

Dear Parents/Carers,

Firstly, thank you to all those parents and carers who have managed to look after their child(ren) safely so they do not need to come into school.

As a school we plan to stay open for as long as we can to aid key workers who are unable to provide safe childcare within their family environment.

We are trying to keep our staff as safe as possible, so ask that you only use the childcare service if you really have no other choice -  as per government guidelines and you do not use us if you are self-isolating within your family.

To enable us to staff each day we ask that you contact the school via the admin@dinglewell-jun.gloucs.sch.uk email address and advise what childcare you require over the next 3 weeks.

Now the number of children requiring care is decreasing due to the new government announcement last night, we now require children to bring a packed lunch into school.

We have a notice on the school gates now, this goes through the procedure of dropping and collecting your child(ren). We ask that you adhere to these rules.

We thank you all, for your continue support during these very difficult and changing times.

Miss G Brogan

Breakfast & After School Club Summer 2020 - If school open

For children coming in to school as of Monday 23rd March 2020, the following measures/precautions must be taken:

  • Own clothes to be worn which are fresh on – we recommend putting clothes straight in the washing machine once returning home from school to minimise and control the spread of infection.
  • Up to date contact details for family members must be available within school and emergency contact details should your child become poorly/exhibit symptoms of contracting coronavirus.
  • We must register your child in and out of the premises by somebody who either has parental responsibility or has been nominated by yourselves, as long as you are all fit and well and not showing symptoms of coronavirus.
  • If you become unwell with coronavirus symptoms, you must immediately contact school and arrange for collection of your child.
  • Social distancing must be enforced whilst your child is not in school if we are to prevent/minimise the spread of infection.
  • School must be informed if you no longer fall within the critical worker list or you have been asked to self-isolate.
  • Thorough hand washing to take place at home just before leaving the home.
  • Children must be dropped off at 8.45 am and picked up at 3:15 pm.

Congratulations to our gymnastics team who won the silver medal in the year 3/4 key steps competition at Ribston Hall yesterday. There were 17 teams from across Gloucester so this is a fantastic achievement. The team of Tuli, Mileigh, Maia, Maddie, Lizzie and Romey all performed a set floor routine and two vaults. Lizzie also won an individual medal for her floor routine and Tuli won medals for both floor and vault! This means the team will progress to the County final on 12th March. Thank you to the parents who came and supported us. Well done girls, we are all extremely proud of you.
