Try painting a picture of a Viking long ship. Work in stages:
Print out the attached pictures of beetles. Cut them down the centre and stick the half a beetle in the centre of the page. Try and sketch the missing half of the beetle. Look carefully so that you include all the detail.
Look at the images below. Have a try at sketching your own beetle. Use whatever colour resources you have at home to colour in your beetle. You could use: gel pens, felt pens, oil pastels, crayons.
We will be doing this activity at school with clay, however you could use salt dough, plasticine or playdoh at home if you don't have any clay. Have a look at the example below and see if you can produce one that looks just like it!
